So we get the we get the opportunity for our MediaWorks acquisition in uh thirty six hours from now. So I'm heading there next, Damo, for a couple of days and looking forward to it. As I have to correct you every year for the last eleven years, it's ten weeks and uh I feel I've earned those ten weeks, Hutchie, and that's not too far away. But uh I did have it on uh yesterday, the Rams and Broncos game as I was getting ready For uh the first stint of twenty twenty six on the the late trade for trade radio. And uh yeah, it was uh it was just a good reminder, that's a pretty good sport, the NFL Hutchie, as we've known for the best part of thirty five, forty years.
Except the big story you dropped on me on the way out last week was that the annual trip of ours to review Uh how things have gone over to immerse ourselves in American culture, get a m college football game in, catch up with our New York mates, spend five days away. You have done the unthinkable even though you've had twelve months notice on the weekend, you have had a diary mishap. Yeah. I shouldn't say mishap because that won't go over well at home. But you've had a you've you've had a diary clash, let's call it. Yeah. And you are celebrating your thirtieth wedding anniversary in advance on that weekend of all the weekends you could have picked well to bring forward the celebration of your thirtieth wedding anniversary.
Which is not till the new year I believe. It is. And you've got twenty two weeks to pick from and you've landed it on our weekend
again. I don't have twenty two, I have about four. But uh when it dawned on me that there was a clash, I just took the view, Hachi, I'm not going to uh try and renegotiate this. This is uh just something where family and maybe relationship and wife has to come first, and there's not even gonna be a a possibility of uh of changing this. So I'm sorry, Janine came ahead of you this year. I'm sorry, mate.
Well no, as as should happen, but my it's not the weekend of your anniversary. Like if it was that day, that week, even even that month, I'll I'll give you the win. You had control of this. You dropped the steering wheel, you haven't thought it through. You've had a name a date suggested to you, you've gone, Yeah, that sounds about right. You haven't checked the date against our trip. No. You've assumed it to be okay. And you and you made the fatal mistake, and now you're in the position where you can't unwind this unless I pitch this to Jelina. It's the only way that's a good idea. No, no, no. I'll leave

I didn't know how deeply we're going to get into my logistics of my family life, Hachi, and my private life, but if you if you're seeing you're raising it off the top, I need to explain. You've changed the dates too on the trip from what they were last year. So that that threw me. And then you're right. Our anniversary is January. Um we were going to be doing something separate on that period, but we have since decided not to. So Ultimately the the booking we've got in November to go away is going to be the um pre advanced celebration of what is a reasonable milestone of thirty years. Hush again we'll do a proper one next year. But that's the that's the really celeb boring story for our city for business.
