We are extremely honored to have Mr. M. R. James, founder of Bowhunter Magazine, share some memories of his close friend, Fred Bear. Fred Bear was one of the greatest bowhunters in modern times. But beyond his hunting accomplishments, Papa Bear did as much to promote modern bowhunting as anyone. This week M. R. and Alan Altizer discuss the impact of Fred on their early bowhunting careers as his films fueled their bowhunting passions. After meeting their hero, they share their time spent with Fred and the realization that he was still just another passionate bowhunter, a good man, and friend. M.
