Chapter 1: What positive developments are worth celebrating in challenging times?
Hi, this is Stephanie Moss. Not too long ago, at some time in the last week or so, I saw a post online and it was an organization or a company talking about what an exciting time this is right now and how up they were from this time last year. And they put on there some sales numbers and we're just really celebrating, hey, we're up. This is great news.
As I scrolled through some of the comments, a couple that I noticed were those negative Nancys.
Chapter 2: How do negative comments affect our perception of progress?
They kind of went on, and there was a handful of folks that made negative comments. Now look, you know what? Up is up. Even if you're flat, but you're still standing, that, in my mind, is a win. If you put yourself in a position where you're up, even better and good for you.
Chapter 3: Why is it important to celebrate even small wins?
Let's all be honest. Life is hard enough as it is. We get kicks in the shin from all over the place.
But when we have something to celebrate, even if it's being up over something that maybe wasn't great, let's celebrate. Up is up and up is worth celebrating.
