Send us a textIt all started with a book called “Willow Basketry” that I got from the University of Georgia bookstore where I worked.In fact, I didn’t really think of myself as an artist then - I’d spent more time creating and performing music, not art.But something about that book caught my eye. I’d never woven anything before, but I was willing to give it a try. And I had acres of kudzu vine behind my apartment. It was destiny! (Ah, the boldness of youth…). Looking back, I’m thankful that I found that book…and that I was willing to take a risk on making baskets, even though I wasn’t very good at the beginning.
