Her story is truly inspiring. From quickly earning her pro card over the course of two years and then deciding to step down even after placing well in her beginning pro shows. Investigating her family health history lead her to a double mastectomy, and total hysterectomy, preventative measures after finding the brca2 gene mutation. Tara made huge life changes all in order to keep cancer away, but at just 36 years old, no history of smoking, she was diagnosed with malignant tongue cancer which eventually spread to her lung. This is a story of hope and faith. About living through cancer that tried to take two years of Taras life, but it failed. She lived every day, ticking off chemo, biopsies, radiation etc as tasks and then continuing to live out loud with her husband and two children cheering her on.
