Your glow up is a great idea, but you actually doing it sustainably and in a good way and in a healthy way, that's the action. That's what makes it valuable. I remember a time when things were still cheap. A couple times a year in middle school, we had early dismissal. And if you were in middle school, you know what that meant.
It meant the entire seventh and eighth grade class made the pilgrimage to the nearest McDonald's. It was roughly a 10, 12 minute walk. No small feat for a middle schooler. And we would use our quarters, nickels, and dimes to buy the finest food in the land. A cheeseburger and McChicken. And those were great times. Because all that was cheap and it was fun.
And after we were done eating, we would run around the play place and take Snapchat selfies with the dog filter on it. You guys remember that? It was awesome. But now it's 2025 and things are not cheap. A date at, you know what I'm going to say, right? A date at Chili's is $60. It's not cheap. But there is one thing that's still relatively inexpensive. I would say it's dirt cheap.
And I'm doing it right now. talk talking is cheap and sadly a lot of people in our lives will make promises they will say things we will even say things that we never do stop yapping start acting I feel passion for this because this is me this is Zerky Show Coded I was someone who would chronically talk about the things I wanted to do and never act on them.
Partially because I didn't believe in what I was saying. I just thought that the things I was saying were cool. And I would say a bunch of things, but mainly they revolved around my passions. I always wanted to be a filmmaker. That was a big thing for me. I wanted to make good vlogs and movies and interview people. That was always something I felt passionate about. And I would do it...
I mean, I would tell people my ideas and then I would go film and I would keep all the ideas, all the footage on a hard drive and it never, to this day, has seen the light of day. Why? Why? It's because of expectations. That's what I think it is. I think the reason that we yap and we don't do is because when we app, which is the easy thing to do, there are expectations.
When you tell somebody that you want to start running every day, there is an expectation that you will run every day.
and if you don't run one of the days the expectation is gone and that's not a sustainable way to think about goals or think about anything because there are days that i don't run i don't work out there are days i don't even get out of bed there are days i don't work on the things that i want to work on there are days that are mid. There are days that are just whatever.
But the problem is when we put these expectations on ourselves, when we tell other people what we want to do, those days, they add up. They add up because we get in this habit of, all right, well, we already messed up once. So we're just going to keep messing up and we're just going to keep delaying. And I told this client that I was going to get them this
