If you feel alone inside the family, you might as well face the loneliness, that comes from estrangement. This episodes has no moral about what you need to do in your personal context - but I am offering a voice of permission to seek relief from a constraint biological relationship by distancing. For me that means choosing my own family made up by friends and role-models. It takes a long time - I have not found any easy route to this. But it is my invitation to not preserve familial contract at any cost. Make the choice that is right to you and know that there are better people for you out there. The more you heal, the more you will meet them.
