Yeah, I guess it was a four-quarter performance from the boys. I'm so proud of how we turned up for four quarters. They're a very good outfit, Brisbane. I've lost to them a lot of times, so it was good to finally get one on them.
What was the focus coming into the game? What were the key points that you were trying to get after to get the win?
I think just really just focusing on what we do well. We... We were very proactive in how we wanted to move the football and defend. And I think the more we sort of doubled down on that, the more confidence we get out of playing our way.
The ball movement was a feature. The decision-making just looked like it's continued to improve. When to go quick, when to control it, when to find the short one, going inside 50. Has that just been something that's been working on all season long? Do you feel like it's really clicking now?
Yeah, I think we're just more predictable to each other. We put in a lot of hours on the track doing this sort of training drills and stuff like that. So I think it's all starting from throughout the week, reviewing and then getting to work and being on the same page. So I think the more we sort of expose that and the more we play together, I think the more we're going to have belief in the system.
A couple of individuals now alongside Harry Dean. He was unbelievable tonight to keep Logan Morris goalless, kick his own first goal, and that was a special highlight as well. Just tell us a bit about playing alongside Harry and what he's brought to the team, not just on the field but off the field as well.
Yeah, I just love it. playing with him so much. He's just such an energy giver. He wants to do the team things. He wants to defend. But after seeing him kick a goal, I reckon he might want to swing forward. It's that good. But yeah, he's just such a young guy who just loves playing football. He's just so curious about getting better. And yeah, he's just... You know, a great human being, and as the whole sort of Carlton faithful know, he just puts his heart on his sleeve and gives everything. So what you see is what you get with him.
Now, you were part of that. You kicked a goal yourself, and we went into the record books. We were very close. So that's the most individual goal kickers in Carlton history and a tied AFL record. Now, that last one from Kripper that was marked on the line was to go outright with a record-breaking for most individual goal kickers. What does that mean for the group to have everybody kind of get involved and step up like that? Because I'm sure you wouldn't have been aware of it, but everyone was just kicking it for fun.
Yeah, hearing that's obviously a bit of a surprise. I think it's just gone down to not relying on one person or two people to drag us over the line. I think now there's such an even contribution from the whole group, so I think that's what good teams are. There's not just two players dominating every week. I think tonight was a real spread of players, and it's going to need to be that for the rest of the year and to go deep into finals.
