Two Strike Noise - A Baseball History Podcast

Episode 133 - The Pesky Red Sock Johhny Pesky

07 Sep 2021

Description

This week we get started with some of the crazy baseball history that was made in the past week, we rank players who have been nicknamed Bull, we remember a wild game at Wrigley from 2001 in which the 7th inning stretch singer got tossed form the game (by Angel Hernandez surprise, surprise) but that wasn’t even the weirdest thing to happen in that game and ofcourse we review the week in Lars Nootbaar news. Our main story is a statistical review of Red Sox shortstop Johnny Pesky. He spent over 60 years in baseball & was involved in some memorable plays including a legend of the Pesky Pole in Fenway. Wax Pack Heroes takes on a couple of packs of 1993 Donruss.  Twitter - @twostrikenoise Instagram - @twostrikenoise Two Strike Noise on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvh7epD-mqT9qCIV7CNqhog Twitch - https://www.twitch.tv/twostrikenoise E-mail - [email protected] We pull ALOT of commons in Wax Pack Heroes. If you've got those Tom Foley or Ernest Riles cards just sitting around you can donate those commons to charity and maybe spark a child's interest in baseball and collecting.
