There was no anything inside those eyes. They turned black. It scared the hell out of me. Evil, wake up. I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Krivak and DePippo.
Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse, appearing unfazed after being sentenced to the maximum.
I said I'm not guilty. I'll take it to the grave.

Chapter 2: How do they navigate their relationship amidst public scrutiny?
We've always been best friends. You are my mini for sure. My mini. And people have constantly saying like, oh, I'm so glad she's back in your life. And, you know, and then there's other people that are, and we'll get to fan questions because I have a ton, especially this being our very first podcast. But before we really get into it, there's something about you that just cracks me up.
And that is your knowledge of random shit. Just random shit. Random, unuseful shit.
Yes, yes.
You know so much about stuff that... I don't want to say it doesn't really matter, but it just doesn't.
It really doesn't matter.
It's just random stuff. And I think we could do a whole segment on it. We're in Napa right now and we're here for Bottle Rock, which is going to be amazing for the next couple of days. And last night we went to dinner with iHeart, the whole iHeart family. And you we are obsessed with Michael Jackson. Yeah, I love Michael Jackson. Well, I mean, after we both watched the show twice, the movie. Yeah.
OK, you know, odd situation, but not odd, but interesting situation. But Eddie has a mutual friend with Michael Jackson's son, Prince. So a couple of years ago, they went writing because he's a big Harley guy. So they went writing and he told Eddie about this film. Yeah. And very excited about it and all the things. And so Eddie's like, he doesn't really get that excited about it.
Yeah, why didn't he, like, tell us?
I know, I know.

Chapter 3: What mental health challenges do they discuss?
So back in the 1700s, there's this woman who killed herself and she jumped off a bridge. Okay. And someone found her body, like some artists found her body. Okay. I thought she was the most beautiful.
It wasn't Michael Jackson.
No, no, no. This is the 1700s. Well, you know, he's still alive. We saw him in some, somebody saw him in some, I don't know, some other country. Yeah, they always say that. Basically what happened is this woman, you know, died and then someone found her body on the shore and thought she was the most beautiful woman ever and made a cast of her face and called her Annie.
That wasn't her real name, but just like a given name. And that cast was used as a CPR dummy, like the mold of it.
So when it's Annie, are you okay?
He's pumping on her chest.
Annie, are you okay?
Okay. Annie! Yeah, when they would teach CPR, you'd go, Annie, are you okay? And that's what he was referencing. That is the most bizarre story ever. Yeah. And so Michael Jackson decided to make a song out of a CPR dummy. Smooth criminal. That's Annie. Oh, my God. Okay, so those are fun facts that she knows that I would never know. Now, for Billie Jean, I don't have a fun fact for that.
You don't have a fun fact. But I think maybe every episode will do like a fun fact that you know. So, Sophia. Mm-hmm. You are, I don't want to say I'm handing the baton to you, but I feel like I'm, you know, I'm grooming you. Does that sound creepy? Don't say that.

Chapter 4: How do they address the topic of divorce and its impact?
We talk about a lot. And on this podcast, we want to be able to talk about a lot of stuff that won't be edited out. Yeah, I don't want to be filtered. I want to talk about what I want to talk about. Right. Right. So there's going to be a lot of discussion about growing up behind the scenes, filming, then not being able to film, struggles with mental health, parental alienation.
Everything that I feel like I've never had the platform to talk about. And now finally I will. Yeah. And I'll be completely uncensored, unfiltered. I can just give my opinion. And I feel like there's so much misinformation out there. That's the biggest thing is like, it makes me so sad when I see like comment sections and they're like, oh, I'm so glad you guys have a relationship now.
Or I'm so glad you guys are talking. Or, you know, like, you know, it's always a big subject. When somebody is mad at me or somebody doesn't like me, their go-to is even her daughter hates her. Yeah. Even her daughter hates her. Don't even get me started. I know. And look what she did to her daughter. And I think what people don't understand, like, it is a horrible situation.
It is, you know, a sad situation. The entire family has been broken apart. Yeah. You know, obviously, Sydney does not. I've had glimmer of hope. Yeah. You know, last year when she came to the house to see you, you know, we had a little bit of conversation. Then she wouldn't talk to me again. Yeah. And and then, you know, like for you. Your relationship with her has been strained because of that.
And you haven't talked to her in a while. But also, she doesn't talk to my whole family. Yeah, that's the thing. And people might say, why keep bringing it up? But the problem is other people keep bringing it up. And it's still not understood. The public eye does not understand everything that happened. So it's just... it's such a confusing thing to navigate. Right.
And then what people, I don't know if they know or don't know is that you have a strained relationship with your dad. That's the thing that really pisses me off is it's like, it's always about, Oh, Sydney doesn't like you. Sydney doesn't like you. But it's like, what about the two kids that don't like Simon? Right. Right.
And you know, and I've talked to you, I don't think I even talked to you about it on the show this year. It's like, Maybe you should make an effort. I mean, you're always trying to be the olive branch, trying to get us to talk, not in a forceful way, but just in a pathetic way because you've been in that situation. Well, I know what it feels like to have a kid not in your life. Somebody wrote it.
I follow a lot of accounts about parental alienation and families have been ripped apart by divorce. And they said there's nothing worse than grieving a child that's still breathing. Yeah. And that's... I couldn't imagine, honestly.

Chapter 5: What are their thoughts on pop culture and its influence?
That's tough. Yeah. It's really tough. But don't want to get too dark so soon. But, you know, those are some of the reasons why we want to do a podcast together. And, you know, who knows what's going to happen with you, Sophia, in your future. You're starting school in August. I am, yeah. And hopefully going to... New York. Yeah. Yeah. New York. Wanting to move to New York.
But these are some of the reasons why we wanted to start a podcast together for you. Like, were you nervous to start this podcast or what? What were your thoughts on that? I was not nervous at all, to be honest. Like, I was more excited than anything because I know I feel at this point very comfortable with all this stuff. And we app all the time anyway. So, yeah, exactly. Exactly.
So for people that don't know, like, can you explain our mother-daughter relationship a little bit? Like, just some of that. Yeah, so we're best friends. I feel like that's the best way to put it. Like, genuinely, you're my best friend. And I don't know, you've always been a huge inspiration to me. And you've always made me very proud to be a part of this family. And I feel like...
you know when I see things online it's so crazy to me the perception because to me you're just this hard-working woman you've always taken care of your family and your friends and you're genuinely the most kind-hearted woman I know like genuinely you would do anything for the people you love And it's a huge inspiration to me because I want to be like that.
I want to be able to take care of everyone around me. That's like my biggest goal. So I am rubbing off on you a little bit. Well, I think that also like just being on reality TV and being very outspoken, people judge and it is what it is. It's easy to judge when you're watching from the sidelines. Growing up with a mom that was in the public eye, did you struggle with like just me as your mom?
Like, is it like what I want to say is like, OK, mom, like I don't want you to go here because everybody's going to know you. Yeah, definitely. I mean. You know, in high school, I was big into like the punk scene and very alternative stuff. And they don't take very kindly to, you know, reality TV, Orange County Housewife Moms. So I was very like, yeah, no, I don't know what you're talking about.
You're like, mom, can you?
not show up to this or something yeah if I yeah no I was very hush hush about everything and not that I was like embarrassed of you is more just like I didn't want to deal with it like because people who would know before they knew me they would pass a lot of judgment onto me a lot of judgment onto my family who I am you know as a person I just didn't want any of that judgment so to to refresh the the listeners um minds um you were on the show yeah when you were little yeah very very little you
Your famous line on the show is, there's a booger in my milk. You were maybe about four years old and you had a cup of milk or something.

Chapter 6: How do they handle fan questions and public perception?
You know, he just doesn't want to be a public person. He's just very private. And, you know, I respect it. It's just not who he is.
In the moment, it felt like it was going on forever. I didn't think I was going to live. I was terrified.
There was no anything inside those eyes. They turned black. It scared the hell out of me.
That was your first murder case? Yes, sir.
Fair to say this was the biggest case of your career?
Yes, sir. Rape and murder of a 12-year-old child.
Just as bad as it gets? I would think so.
People, wake up. I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Krivak and DePippo.
Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse, appearing unfazed after being sentenced to the maximum.

Chapter 7: What insights do they share about personal growth and identity?
We contain essence. We contain spirit. How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching. You'll see what I mean. Listen to Rebel Spirit Season 2 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
June is Black Music Month, and on the Drink Champs podcast, we're speaking with the hottest names in the culture, like Sway Lee. Do you realize how legendary you are? I appreciate that. I be seeing it, but I'm like, man, I still got, like, so much more to do. Like, Prince, he dropped, like, 30 albums. We dropped, like, five right now. Like, that's the rate we gotta be going.
Yep, that's a good attitude. You'll also hear stories from industry legends and hip-hop pioneers like Fab Five Freddy. I directed one of Nas' early videos. Which one? One Love. What? I literally filmed in his apartment in Queensbridge. His mom's was still up in that apartment. Nas was just beginning to take off. His pops used to live near me in Harlem.
His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, conscious stuff, and he made a young prodigy. No matter the era, Drink Champs brings you the biggest names and the most unfiltered conversations. Listen to Drink Champs from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So let's go into some fan questions. Would you live, would you do Next Gen LA? I mean, preferably Next Gen New York. But I wouldn't mind Next Gen LA either, honestly. I think it'd be fun either way, you know what I mean? I think Next Gen as a franchise needs something to shake it up, needs someone a little bit more. Edgy? I didn't want to say it, but you said it. Yeah, I don't know.
I just think it'd be a good addition to Next Gen. Now, Gia is on Next Gen New York, and you're going to be on her podcast soon. Are you excited about that?
Yeah, I love Gia. She's sweet.
Yeah, I would love for you to get to know her. She's such a sweet girl. And then, you know, who knows? Maybe you can organically just move right in.

Chapter 8: What are their future plans for the podcast?
I like the skirt. I like the whole outfit. But I think in recent years, you've gotten a lot better. And even I'll steal some stuff from you sometimes. How bad was my dressing before? It wasn't bad. It was just misguided. A lot of people love your style. Where can, where do you shop? I know that they want to know where you shop.
I thrift everything or eBay or Mercari, Poshmark, all the like secondhand shopping apps. So it's kind of hard because, you know, I have a TikTok and I post fashion content. People are always like, where do you get your clothes? Where do you get your clothes?
I'm like-
I'm sorry, it's second hands. How do people find you on TikTok? Oh, my TikTok is sophthedoll. All my social media is, yeah, S-O-P-H, the doll. The doll, okay, yep. Do we ever fight? No. I feel like we don't really fight, honestly. If we do, it's more like, it's, I feel like we have, like, quick little, like, passive-aggressive banter, if anything. I think, if anything, if I'm...
trying to guide you or trying to say something like, you know, I'm disappointed or I think that you should do this or whatever it is. It's, it's never like a fight, but you get really sad. Yeah. It's like the only time I really hear you, like, we'll see you cry. If you think that I'm disappointed. That's the thing. That's why we don't have to fight because I don't want to disappoint you.
So I don't do anything to disappoint you. I feel like maybe like when I was younger, when I was going through my teen years and I was very, you know, I'm too cool for this shit. Yeah. Then I think we argued a little bit, but I don't think we ever like truly fought. No, we've never gotten into a like a screaming match. But also like I never fought with Sydney either. Yeah. So it's I don't know.
I just don't think I ever really did anything that warranted us even argue or you. I don't know. Yeah. Let's describe each other in three words. Okay. So you give me three. Okay. This is hard for me. I'm not good like this. This is hard. Okay. Is that hard? Is it really that hard? No, I'm trying to figure out if I should put the nice one first or. Oh, there's a mean one. Oh, okay.
I see where this podcast is going.
You're very honest. You have no filter. You're very honest. Sorry, that's multiple words. Okay, honest. Okay, was there a filter? Giving. Intelligent. Really? Those aren't mean. Well, the first one. I could elaborate, but I'm not going to. Oh, no, please do. You want me to explain this? Yes. Okay, so I feel like you're very, very honest, for better or for worse.
