19 Nov 2025

Transcription

Chapter 1: What humorous incident occurs with the Abominable Snowman?

1.516 - 4.945 Al Robertson

I am unashamed. What about you?

0

6.663 - 28.126 Zach Dasher

Welcome back to Unashamed. So we're in three places, as we said on the last podcast. I'm at the Southern Lair. And, Jace, I noticed since the last podcast, apparently it must be cold in Zach's studio because he looks like he's dressed for severe winter, if you're watching.

0

29.047 - 45.962 Unknown

Al, you have to address it because... My eyes can't unsee what I see, which is if you're listening to this, Zach has dressed up like the abominable snowman today, which is embarrassing because he's indoors.

0

46.924 - 49.407 Jase Robertson

It's cold. It's super cold.

0

Chapter 2: Why is idolatry considered offensive to God?

49.427 - 63.569 Jase Robertson

I guess they don't have the heat. Well, I got a real fireplace right here. We were wondering. Will it burn? Can you burn wood in it? So I lit a fire. The chimney works, but I don't know if it's ever been cleaned out. So we're kind of 50-50.

0

Chapter 3: Does the Old Testament law still apply to Christians today?

64.05 - 92.962 Jase Robertson

Should we chance it, see if we catch the whole building on fire? But I'm going to tell you, the temperature dropped. It's 25 degrees. It was 25 degrees last night. It's snowing today. And what's crazy about that is we had outdoor baptisms So it was warm yesterday, and then it all happened last night. It was warm. I mean, I've got a rule at our church.

0

93.083 - 103.678 Jase Robertson

I'll do baptisms in a certain season, and then once we get to about October, Brandon takes on most of the baptisms. So I'm like, he got everything.

Chapter 4: How did Jesus fulfill the law instead of abolishing it?

103.738 - 106.723 Unknown

It's hard to question your manhood here.

0

106.783 - 107.864 Jase Robertson

I don't like to be told.

0

108.145 - 112.371 Unknown

The problem I have with what you're wearing as a protector,

0

112.351 - 134.528 Jase Robertson

as a man your mobility is limited this is like if something happens right now what i have on here is the warmest jacket you could ever get um it's not waterproof that's your that's gonna be the issue with it but if it's not raining it's i mean it's a thing this thing is warm but you can't do anything

0

134.508 - 135.65 Unknown

It's the same.

135.85 - 144.685 Jase Robertson

I can do everything. It looks like you're in a bubble wrap. I've got incredible range of motion. I've got everything. It's lightweight.

144.985 - 146.107 Al Robertson

Dave, do you believe that?

Chapter 5: What is the one debt Christians are called to uphold?

146.528 - 175.318 Unknown

Well, here's the deal. In the scholarly world, I've recently found out Because I've had a couple of arguments with people about biblical things here in the last week. Shocker. And they used a phrase that I'd never heard. And they said, we have a theological tension here. And I said, ooh, what is that? Well, we're reading the same verses and coming to different conclusions.

0

Chapter 6: What misconceptions did Nancy Reagan have about societal issues?

176.099 - 207.122 Unknown

But so from a theological tension viewpoint, Zach, what you're wearing... The problem I have with that is, yes, you're saved from the cold, but you can't do anything. You have no mobility. You can't be saved to something because no matter what happens, your best option is to stop, drop, and roll. That's the only way you could actually do anything to defend yourself or protect anyone. Okay.

0

207.142 - 209.966 Jase Robertson

Well, I do have range of motion. I have mobility.

0

Chapter 7: How can theological diversity unite believers in Christ?

210.466 - 217.075 Jase Robertson

I don't want to mess up the analogy, though, because I agree with what you're saying, except it doesn't really apply to what I'm wearing.

0

217.175 - 236.831 Unknown

No, no, yes, it does. I've been in a duck blind many times, and I've seen what my dad used to call – What did he call them where their pants would be too short? Highwaters. Highwaters. And they put these big jackets on. So when he would say, cut them, we would raise up, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.

0

236.851 - 251.368 Unknown

And then the guy in a jacket like you, he's struggling to even lift himself in a standing position, much less put a gun to his shoulder, discharge it, and actually hit what he's aiming at. It's impossible.

251.468 - 260.523 Jase Robertson

That's what I'm trying to tell you. Whatever kind of jacket you think you saw or whatever you think you're seeing now is not the same jacket.

Chapter 8: What does it mean to live under the law of love?

261.124 - 267.355 Jase Robertson

I'm telling you, I have incredible mobility in this jacket. It's one of the reasons why I love it.

0

267.375 - 273.004 Unknown

Well, let me give you a famous philosopher once said, I don't believe you.

0

274.975 - 276.377 Phil Robertson

All I can do is tell you, man.

0

277.639 - 285.049 Unknown

Zach, you gained 40 pounds by putting on a jacket. You look like you weigh 240 pounds right now.

0

285.149 - 294.402 Phil Robertson

No, it's fluffy, but it's not heavy. You're conflating fluffiness with heaviness. This jacket has...

294.382 - 298.753 Al Robertson

I thought Zach needed to come onto the PhD train again.

298.773 - 298.953 Jase Robertson

Oh, yeah.

299.053 - 303.264 Al Robertson

You're back up. Your weight just went out the roof. I'm telling you.

303.604 - 329.194 Jase Robertson

I wore it last night. Speaking of theological diversity, we had baptisms yesterday. We baptized... a guy that was grew up Jewish, came to Christ, was just baptized into the, to the cold waters, rushing waters. It was, uh, we call it living water because it moves. I always tell them when you, when you go down in this water, your sins are washed away. They end up in the Gulf of America.
