Why does the speaker feel disgusted about being number one and how does humility relate to following God?

Johnny Chang 0:00
A dead person doesn't feel anything. They think if I'm humble, that's weakness. You get stepped on. Why am I number one? I shouldn't be number one. I'm not number one. Are you really following me? Do you really deny yourself? Let me see. Do you still need God? Or are you the one to throw away God? You guys can ask your questions. It's cool, you guys can see me. Um guys are writing a little bit too much, to be honest. But that's okay. Bro, all they ask is straight a full on paragraph is kinda crazy. All right, let's read here. I was looking to get into content creation on YouTube. I wanted to make three channels. Um, a motivational personal life lesson, channel geared towards people trying Better uh to better their life including some biblical concepts, a basketball channel than a music channel.
Johnny Chang 0:52
I was talking with my older cousin and she said it could give off lukewarms, steer people away. If they see on One channel I'm talking po positivity and about God, then on the other one I'm listening to rap. That include X, Y, and Z. I watched them for entertainment, it wouldn't be that bad. Um, so I I don't think you should start channels like look guys. I'm gonna be honest here, right? And I wanna say this the right way because I'm not saying this from a point of offense. Um I'm saying this because I'm basically noticing something. Okay. A lot of people come uh in through our ministry. Uh, they learn the gospel here. They learned the analogies, they learned the unlocks, they learned the way we break down scripture.
Johnny Chang 1:34
You guys learned how to see Christ in every line, right? Um, and praise God, hallelujah, right? Um, you guys are now out there preaching and you're trying to do these things, and I don't wanna like stamp that down, but at the same time, I can't also kind of uh overlook what I'm what I'm seeing. Right. Uh there's something wrong in the heart. Um, and there's something wrong when the heart gets exposed in the heart. There's something wrong when when something gets exposed in the heart. When people basically eat at a table and then they act like they cook the meal themselves. Do you guys understand what I'm saying? Right. So Underneath all of these things, I wanna start this, I wanna start that, you gotta be cautious here.
Johnny Chang 2:19
Is it pride? Right. Is it pride? Because, you know, what what are you what are you actually posting, right? Are you posting just to, you know, gather souls and nurture them? But if you're not studied, let's say, and you don't know the scripture, you don't really know about God, what are you then posting it for? Right, nine times out of ten if you're being honest is for yourself. You get what I'm saying? Uh secondly what I'm noticing too is like people again, they learn from us, they grow from us, right? Um They mess with us, but At the same time, I think they kind of forget us. Right. The one thing I don't want you guys to do Is kind of fall into this trap. Understand? So a lot of you guys s started here. And I wanna check the heart a little bit, right?
Johnny Chang 3:09
You got connected here, you got loved here, you went to churches here, you know, we taught you here, we built you here. Right? And then the second we correct you, let's say like I'm correcting now, or the second we realign you and we don't like the realignment, then something gets hit, right? And it's your pride basically. Right. Um and I don't want people to have this heart that they outgrew. the ministry just because they've learned a little bit from pastors and they've done that, right? That's very dangerous. Right. So when you look at uh first Timothy chapter five, verse seven, it's very clear. Right. Uh it says, let the elders that rule uh well be counted worthy of double honor, especially when they who labor in the word and doctrine.
Johnny Chang 3:55
So when you honor people, right, you have to honor God and the people who honor God, right? That's biblical. Right. So uh giving credit where credit is due is biblical, obviously. So you guys know, like if I ever hear anything from Pastor, if I ever, you know, I always talk about Pastor Kim. There's a reasoning behind that because it's biblical.
