Why do we keep falling down and how can we choose to keep moving forward?
One of the most difficult things
to navigate in life. Is what to do. When you fall. Every day when you get out of bed, life standing right there to kick you in the face, man.
You're gonna have sometimes low moments when you won't wanna get out of bed. You just wanna stay there! At times you won't want to come out the house. Why did that happen? I don't know. It's called life. And you have to deal with it. There are moments when you're going to doubt yourself. Hold on. Hold on. Don't you surrender now. Don't you quit now. Their rough times are gonna come, but they have not come to stay. They have come to pass. Don't say I'm having a bad day. Say I'm
having a character building day. You see, the fight's not over if you've been knocked down. It's only over if you quit. And you don't have to quit.
The story you tell yourself, if you say we can't rebuild it, if you say we can't do it, then you're just talking yourself out of the possibility. The problem is not your problem, it's your perception. How do you see it? Because if you think wrong,
you go wrong. If you think down, you go down. If you think you can't get up, you can't get up. If you think you can't be free, you can't be free.
How does changing our perception turn “bad days” into character‑building opportunities?
If you think you can't learn anymore, you'll never be able to learn. Your thoughts are either dragging you down or taking you up.
Goals and dreams. Make it not strange that you face the fiery furnaces of this world. You will not, you might, you will have tribulations, but in the midst of it all. You've gotta bleed. It's possible. This too shall pass. It's always possible. Who told you that it wasn't? It's always possible. I don't want reality right now. I'm not interested in how much your student loans are. I'm not interested. I got a divorce and right now I just can't. I'm not interested. I lost a child and you don't know what it's like to, I'm not interested in your reality right now. It was a tragedy, yes, it was, but you can't stay there. You can't keep waking up to that. I want you to get back to your dreams. We all go through pain, get a reward for yours.
Stop looking at reality. Don't focus on the problem. Don't focus on the amount of work that you gotta do. Focus on the vision. Everybody can see, everybody has sight, but very few people have vision. You can if you believe you can. For every minute that you think you can't do it, I need you to offset it with dreaming about the fact that you can. If you have a 30-minute pity party, I need you to have an hour success party. You gotta have a dream party every day.
What daily practices can help us replace doubt with a vivid vision of our dreams?
You gotta have a dream session. You gotta take out 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, however much time you have, and you gotta actually go in a room, close the door, and you gotta see yourself doing it. You gotta feel yourself doing it. Actually, walk in it. You gotta go in the future, live it out, come back in the present and start working toward it. I want you to feel it. I want you to taste it. Just like when the weather is changing, you can feel it. I want you to be able to feel when you're getting closer to it and closer to it. Spend some time throughout the day thinking about, looking about, feeling about, dreaming about what you want it to be. be right. Start working and developing yourself now and prepare yourself for what it is that you want because you expect to get it.
There are no limits but the ones you place on yourself. A lot of people have given up! Lotta people have stopped dreaming. Don't you stop dreaming. Don't stop! DON'T STOP! Don't stop running towards your dream! You gotta back up sometimes. Regroup and not give up and come back again. It is the rubble of your past that is going to become the foundation of your future. And whatever is about to be built next in your life is going to be built off of the stuff that you have already been through. I have strategies that I engage in to recharge my batteries. I have programmed for myself. I have books that I read that inspire me, tapes that I live. To that, fire me up. I'm preparing for that because I know things are going to happen that I cannot anticipate.
