And because I know you're dying to know, people from Saskatchewan are called Saskatchewanians. Yeah, that's a real word. Now, we can all agree, it's not exactly the easiest thing to pronounce. But if you manage to say it properly, at a dinner party, for instance, it definitely makes an impression. So where exactly is Saskatchewan? It sits right in the heart of the Canadian prairies, bordered by Alberta to the west and Manitoba to the east. To the north, it meets the Northwest Territories. And to the south, it shares a border with Montana and North Dakota in the United States. It covers about 6.5% of Canada's total land area. The province is made up of vast agricultural plains and boreal forests in the north.
It's home to over 100,000 lakes. Its two main cities are Regina, the capital, and Saskatoon. Regina is known for its government and cultural institutions, while Saskatoon stands out for its economic dynamism. In summer, they range from 15 to 26 degrees Celsius, but they can climb higher. Along with Alberta, it's one of the sunniest provinces in Canada.
