That first half in particular was one of the best games of rugby union I've seen in a long time. No, thanks Jim. I'm actually surprised I survived actually. We got absolute ab absolutely abused by our South African comp compatrians over in uh South Africa. But to my to my defence I had to do I did have to talk to one of our Riley Tom Toffel out um just around my uh my language and if I said so right. I thought I was I was pretty spot on the money, but in saying that five scrum penalties probably wasn't great for us.
It wasn't great. And unfortunately, um Super Sport had to take down our clip, which was uh it might have been gr good for you in the end, 'cause that was the bit where everyone was coming in real hot at our scrub knowledge. But um it was interesting to see Supersport take that clip down. There's um controversy around speculation around people saying they didn't want that content going out um any further around So South Africa's potential. Potentially walking around. I'm not sure why it got taken down, but um anyway, the comments were shut down and that post is now officially gone.
But it was good for my I had a lot of requests as well and I was just like, Oh, okay, okay, I can just see where just just look at that location. Ah, Johannesburg, uh Cape Town. I've okay. Just outside down my kid, that's okay.
Oh well we've got a run sheet to get through. Um, like I said at the start, uh unbelievable test. The first thing that really set it up was the anthems. The passion in that national anthem was incredible. The crowd, the volume of it all, the way Khaleesi rips his head back and just bouts it out to the top of his lungs. It's just special to watch those South Africans sing that national anthem with the passion they have.
Oh, it is. And like, yeah, I guess every time you do watch a South African game, especially in a New Zealand rivalry, and give the fact that probably there was an extra thirty thousand well eighty what was it, eighty or ninety thousand in Soweto. So you can only imagine the the adrenaline and the and how loud it was there for the all black boys and to be able to feel that. So Yeah, almost I almost feel a little bit gussy that this is the last one and the fact that we are moving away and going to Baltimore because I don't know though, you but my algorithms you probably the same, Jimmy. It's just been also in Africa and New Zealand for the last three to four weeks. So it's gonna be a little bit sad when it's all done and dusted.
But uh yeah, great test match and no doubt we'll dive in a little bit deeper around that.
Yeah, well the first thing we spoke around in the preview show was around how the All Blacks are gonna uh I guess combat this collision line, the advantage line, especially off set piece, and we spoke around they're just gonna have to front up, someone's gonna have to lead it, uh make sure that first carry in particular isn't over the advantage line. And geez, Geor Geordy Barrett must have listened 'cause he was Man possessed. That first one off the mall flies up, knocks him way behind the advantage line, um, and pretty set after that. I thought it was just a massive statement from the All Blacks that they can do it.
Yeah, look, and I think if you look at that probably that first half, it was probably you look in the attacking brand side of it, it was so good because our collisions were just so brutal. And I think the that the ball carriers, the belly they'd be able to get over the advantage, like Roy Gun was just able to get that ball in and out. And if you're talking about our backs and our forwards on the edge, just being able to get the ball to with, it was exactly the DNA that we wanted to be able to see.
