Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Sam Edmund is here for Alex Scott and staff to sell your livestock or sell your home. Hey, Sammy. I'll take one of his Hungry Jacks franchises instead, to be honest. A licence, that is. An absolute licence. Good to be with you, Gerard. Good to be with you. Out at 10 o'clock, Michael Voss speaks. I know you're going to be bringing that to your audience live.
This, I would expect, will be one of those press conferences that goes well beyond the football industry. There'll be journalists and reporters there from outside the game and the hard questions are coming, but... The process is ongoing.
Chapter 2: What insights does Sam Edmund share about Michael Voss's upcoming press conference?
I don't think there's going to be a lot that Michael will say at 10 o'clock. Now, my understanding is he's put something of a fence around what he's prepared to say, given the next official update from the club will be when the process is resolved and it's ongoing at the moment. Actually, it'll be really interesting to see what happens here, but I suspect it'll be words to the effect of...
We understand the interest in this case, but our focus and priority remains the health and well-being of our player. It's been a very difficult situation. One, maybe that the game is basically not seen before. We'll all learn from this. The industry will learn, et cetera, et cetera. What's taken place, that's what's most important. He might be tempted to go down there.
It's disrespectful to the family to go into any more detail. It's a private medical matter. And then I think they would have workshopped this behind the scenes. I think if it gets particularly nasty, there might be a pointer to the fact there's been a photographer outside the Holland's home in recent days, which is borderline disgraceful, isn't it? I suspect he will leave it at that.
Now, the questions will keep coming. We know that. And I'm sure he will refer back to those same comments, more or less. And if they keep coming again, I don't know. I reckon he might be prepared to walk out this morning, but we'll see where it goes. I mean, I think it'll be interesting to listen, but those craving answers, and we all are, mind you,
I'm not sure we're going to get them at a 10 o'clock today. Now, Chris Davies is leading the investigation from the Carlton side of things. Process is ongoing. So I'm not sure if this morning is going to satisfy anyone.
Not a great scenario to have the senior coach fronting something that is not under his supervision and he's the one left to answer these questions.
I don't think it's what people want to hear. I actually look at the senior coach and think he's a pretty small part of it, to be honest. On game day itself, and that won't satisfy anyone. I know he's on the bench and the player in question is coming on and off, but these are heads of football and medical matters.
And I don't know, Simo's the man to ask, what sort of lens does a senior coach on game day, with everything else going on, have on one particular player? And I know this is a... an incident that was there for all to see in real time, but there's a lot of hindsight with it as well. So we've heard from Graham Wright. We haven't heard from Chris Davies.
We're going to hear from Michael Voss today for the second time in all of this. And yeah, I'd be interested to see how far he goes with it. I don't think too far at all. So we'll watch. We will.

Chapter 3: What challenges does Michael Voss face in addressing the media?
Adam Treloar, four games last year, totally scuppered by injury. Lockie Smith is the VFL Ruckman, 42 games in all. Last week, 32 hit-outs, nine disposal against the Cats. And Josh Dolan has been the fringe player in and out. But... Gardner was called up to duty last year against Hawthorne and he just, he was no longer at the level.
Buslinger has, I think, been probably the long-term frustration just seeing if he was going to develop Treloar. You know, these blokes will be hungry because they're not going to get many more looks at it. This is Treloar's opportunity to pin down a place for the foreseeable future.
It's break glass in case of emergency sort of stuff, isn't it? And it could yet get worse. I mean, we won't know for sure until the teams are finalised an hour out. But a real watch, obviously, on the captain, Marcus Bontempelli, with that knee. That scan's cleared him of damage, but he's been sore all week. So what did Bevo say? He'll give him until the death.
Well, he might end up being a late out. And from a Sydney point of view, Isaac Heaney... If it's a big, big game he's playing, I'm told. He was touch and go right up until they boarded the plane. But they've got a Sunday game next week. So they're playing the long game here. 16 days to get completely right for him. So they come down a bit light on manpower as well.
But you can't compete with those dogs lists of ours. Absolutely shocking.
What's your gut feeling on Bontempele?
Flip a coin. I saw some vision of him, but it was limited vision. He looked okay. I'd like to think they play the long game, the dogs, and obviously won't play him unless he's absolutely right. But I'm an optimist. I'll say he plays, Gerard.
Okay.
But maybe I'm naive. Maybe his little chance. We'll see how it goes.

Chapter 4: What is the latest update on the Lance Collard appeal?
Maybe I'm finding myself on barricade for the story as much as anything like a lot of us are.
Chapter 5: How are the Dogs managing their team selection for tonight's game?
It used to be good to see him back out there because he's been through hell and back, that guy.
And, yes, everything that St Kilda is missing is on their list in there. Just can't get out there for a sustained period of time.
Yeah, Ben can't stop kicking goals. And you just love Max out there if you're of the St Kilda persuasion. So, no, stand by that. The team's out at 6.30 tonight, aren't they? Oh, jeez, I really hope I see M King in that four-wheel line.
Yes, you won't be alone on that front.
Terrific, Sam.
Thank you. Thanks, Gerard. Sam Edmond, whether it's selling your livestock or selling your home, contact Alex Scott and staff today.
