Yichao is a writer and improviser living in Seattle. Currently a narrative designer for the game Guild Wars 2, Yichao also was a writer for the game Magic: the Gathering and for Disney Imagineering. After getting a BA in English and Theatre and an MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts, Yichao's career has led him from playwriting, to performing, to writing for theme parks, to writing for TV, to writing in the gaming industry. In addition to his writing work, Yichao also performs and teaches improvisational theater and comedy with Jet City Improv, regularly performing with the company as well as his own troupes and shows. As a playwright, his plays have been produced in cities across the US and U.K. He is also currently directing Jet City Improv's season opener, Dystopia! The Musical - a fully improvised musical set in a post apocalyptic world. His performance work and his writing frequently influences and informs the one another.
