Anne Butler Montgomery was a TV sportscaster long before you saw women doing that. Anne rose to prominence to anchor the Emmy and ACE award-winning SportsCenter at ESPN and had a two-year stint as the studio host for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns. Anne’s career continued at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism where she taught sports reporting. She spent many decades as an amateur sports official calling baseball, ice hockey, soccer, and basketball. Learn how this woman defied the odds to rise to prominence in the sports world in this episode of Women Road Warriors with Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro. Get inspired and learn about the books Anne now writes. Tune in and please subscribe to our podcast.
