Idella is a veteran driver and people’s advocate who has been a trailblazer for women in trucking for over 50 years. She is a true champion who has worked tirelessly for the industry and those who run our nation’s highways. She has powerful messages for all women. Idella is a long-haul driver who has been an owner-operator. She has had her share of challenges and has been a mover and a shaker. She was honored by Road King Magazine in 2017 as a Citizen Driver Honoree – the only woman featured that year. Idella is a tireless advocate for women and the disenfranchised. Idella Hansen is a founding board member of TEARS - Truckers Emergency Assistance Responders and the Treasurer and founding member of Real Women in Trucking. She is also active in trucker charities like Truckers Christmas Group and Operation Roger which helps displaced pets.
