Some of Trump's advisers have privately expressed concerns that the volatile situation in Minneapolis is becoming a political liability for the White House. And in federal court this morning, lawyers for the state of Minnesota asked a judge to issue a temporary restraining order immediately ending the federal immigration enforcement surge in the Twin Cities.
The Israeli military says it has recovered the body of the last hostage held in Gaza. Ron Gavile, an Israeli military police sergeant. Israel says it will now reopen the Rafah crossing from Gaza into Egypt. The recovery of his body and the Rafah reopening are key requirements of President Trump's peace plan and could pave the way for the next phase.
That part of the plan involves disarming Hamas and pulling Israeli troops out of most of Gaza.

Hamas has resisted disarming. And NVIDIA is investing an additional $2 billion in CoreWeave, a move the companies say will help build artificial intelligence factories. NVIDIA already owned a 6.6% stake in CoreWeave, and its latest investment is a vote of confidence in the AI data center company. Shares of CoreWeave rose more than 9% in late-morning trading.
