How much did DoorDash agree to pay to settle New York City's minimum‑pay investigation?
DoorDash will pay $131.5 million to settle a New York City investigation into its compliance with pay laws for food delivery workers. Under the agreement, delivery drivers will receive $115 million, comprising $12.3 million for underpaid or late wages, and $83 million to resolve a dispute over pay calculation methods. Meanwhile, sixteen point seven million dollars will go to the city in fines. The settlement resolves the year long investigation without litigation. Plus, as part of the settlement, Doordash will appoint a compliance officer.
