Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
You're listening to a Mamma Mia podcast. Makeup is my therapy. I'm obsessed and I don't even feel guilty about it.
Hello and welcome to YouBeauty. This is the podcast for your face. I'm Kelly McCarran.
I'm Leigh Campbell. And if you're watching along at home, Kelly, I keep singing Candyman in my head.
Yeah, I am dressed like a candy cane. You're dressed like a delicious lolly. And I've got like a juicy apple red gloss on as well. Today, we are giving our product recommendation what has absolutely blown us away lately. So we have a Spendy Savy. I'm so excited about my newbie. I've wanted to talk about it for months. Stop.
I'm so excited about my newbie because I know the person who has been making it for two years and it's finally here.
Oh, okay.
Very exciting. But before we do that, we start with Spendys and Savys. So why don't you start with your Spendy?
Spendy. Savy. Spendy. Savy. My spendy is $30. It's not super spendy but not super affordable. Pixi Beauty On The Glow Blush Tinted Moisture Stick in the shade Cassius. It is a hydrating, solid cheek tint. Now, we've talked about Pixi Beauty a bunch. I've even talked about the sticks at different points. Wait till you see. I haven't tried the blush. It is so juicy.

Chapter 2: What beauty products are Leigh and Kelly currently obsessed with?
I'm assuming it looks like liquid beetroot. Oh, wow. Actually, yeah. Look at how beautiful that is. And on the lips too. You could put it on your lips. You could put it on your eyes. It's very dewy, very user-friendly. So even if you're new to cream liquid blush, you could definitely use this because it doesn't dry down quickly and it's not overly pigmented.
I know it does, but if you just went like that and then blended it out.
It's not opaque. It's got a fair bit of pigment, but it's not opaque, which I like.
As you can see, once I start, sort of blending it out with my finger. May I have a play? It is very sheer. It reminds me.
Remember Benefit Benetint? It was one of their very first products. The colour is very similar.
That colour is.
Yes, but that was literally like a liquid stain. I found that quite hard to work with and it often lifted off my base, whereas I think something thicker in consistency. Oh, gosh, that's gorgeous. Isn't it beautiful? Oh.

Chapter 3: What is the $30 Pixi Beauty On The Glow Blush and why is it special?
I can't believe you brought a blush. We agree. Oftentimes. I think that this is for everyone. It's not just for super. I'm just putting a bit on my lipstick. That's okay. No, it looks really pretty. It's not just for people that are really confident with their makeup. It's also not just for beginners. Like anyone can use this sort of product.
It's travel friendly because you can just swipe it on and then blend it out with your fingers. And I think that the Casis is, Casis cases is such a beautiful, like we're going into winter.
What does that mean?
There's a shade. Oh. Like it is just such. Which is also like the shade is beautiful for winter and the way that the formula, how creamy and dewy it is. Yeah. On dry, gross old winter skin. Yes. Heaven.
It's going to add hydration. I feel like it actually feels like skincare to use.
It does, yeah. Well, that's why they call it a balm. I really like that. Look at us agreeing. I know. Wow. It even says on lips. You can get Pixi Beauty a lot of different places. You can get it direct. Yeah. At some price lines, you can get it at Sephora. Yes.
What's that price line store that I always call Amorica, but it's not? Atomica. Atomica. That's where I got some. Atomica. You can get it on ASOS. You can lots of different places. It's everywhere. My spendy is not all that spendy either, but my savey is more affordable, believe it or not. Have you tried this yet?
No.
It's the Boost Lab Pro Lift Neck and Decolletage Cream. So it's $59.95, so it's not super cheap. However- Other neck products can be so expensive. Yeah, and there's also not that many. And as Kelly and I have been telling you guys for years, your face stops at your nipples. But I don't always want to use my $200 serum on double the amount of real estate or more.

Chapter 4: Why is the Boost Lab Pro Lift Neck Cream worth considering?
Sounds like I'm making a cocktail. I wish. Like wipe my shoulders off because I get fallout. But that's because I use so much. I do too.
It looks like you've got dandruff. But would you, as a blonde person, do you spray straight on or do you section your hair? I've never sectioned me or my tie.
Oh, because I'm dark hair, I have to do that. Oh, you hold it so far away. That's another thing I don't do because I'm blonde.
Chapter 5: What are the benefits of using a neck cream as part of your skincare routine?
30 centimetres. I just go, because it's an aggressive one. 30 centimetres. Yeah, I know that that's correct. I just don't do that. Well, blondes can get away with murder when it comes to. Whereas you can look, you'll look like you've got chowder.
Oh, it looks like I'm going to that 100 Days of Kindy thing where you dress up as an old person.
No white cast at all on your hair.
Oh, it feels not. It's not too, because when you said it was quite aggressive, I thought it was going to be too gritty.
No. Not gritty at all.
You're kidding. $4.99. I'm going back to it. I feel like every time we finish recording, you and I run down to Priceline or Chemist Warehouse to shop. Yes. What is your savey? Oh, my savey. How exciting. Put the lid back on.
I don't know.
I don't want you to lose it. Mine's also a hair product. Not as affordable, but from Priceline and bloody excellent. You may remember probably two months ago we had a question about About something. I can't remember what it was. It was about hair. Yes. And I said, I'm going to purchase this product and report back. Oh, I love it when we both remember to do that.
Well, it is the Burrito Giannini banana coconut, sorry, there's some fruit in here, air dry, no heat styling cream. So, I mean, if you look at my hair today, it's still quite damp, but all I did was get out of the shower.

Chapter 6: What makes Kelly's favorite $4.99 dry shampoo so effective?
They've just dropped, though, and, you know, we love them. Brands that are stocked at Priceline because they go on special as well.
Yeah, you go and get your script and happy days. What is your newbie? Okay, my newbie is a tubular mascara. So there is a wonderful makeup artist that when I get my makeup done once every 10 years, I use. And she, about two years ago now, brought out a product called La Base and it was this beautiful sort of serum meets primer meets glow meets light coverage. Heaven.
When she was formulating that and I got my hands on it, I said, what's next? And she's like, I've almost finished my tubular mascara. Fast forward two years, it's here. That's what's so annoying about formulating products, especially when you're a makeup artist and you've got to get it right. And she did it overseas and she was back and forth and back and forth and back and forth.
I don't even know how you would, because is it the wand or the formula that's most important?
Everything.
A blend of the two.
Well, I mean, I don't know if you can tell how amazing my eyelashes look today under my glasses. I've used the black. I couldn't wait. So it's called the Labase Instant Lift Tubing Mascara because she obviously applying mascara to a lot of her clients and She's one of the most beautiful looking women I've ever seen, but she has quite short lashes.
Doesn't do a lot of falsies, but she just has great lashes to also test on. Has used every product under the sun. You would love getting your makeup done by her because her kit, the questions are just everything. So she was working on this because she loves the tubular formula.
But again, as we often say, you can't really get that visual impact because of the nature of the holomines, whatever they are, you know, that coat the lashes. It doesn't build the way a regular mascara does. Yes, these do. But it's not that, you know how sometimes when you use a real volumizing one, it's a bit cluggy and then you've gone, oh no, I look like a spider.

Chapter 7: What new beauty products are being introduced this episode?
It looks like the Kimmy Kim.
It's got a little bit of plumping in it, not too much though. Oh, my God. Oh, I got it. It's gorgeous. Isn't it beautiful? Oh, I love it. And so what I do, like just a lip stain on my outer corner of my lips and then I pop that on. Oh, my God, I would just wear this. Yeah. It's just so beautiful. It's very serum-y with the application. I love it. It feels gorgeous.
And obviously I ā oh, yeah, it's a bit minty. Obviously I just use my finger because it's your ā I don't want to give you my germs. But I just love a doe foot applicator that is one and done. Your fingers don't get dirty. And I love the cooling metal. Yeah. As opposed to like a, I don't like like the NARS like pull out doe foots. No, I don't. They're also not very hygienic.
Like you can wipe that. Agreed. And it's like not, like, you know, a spongy one is kind of porous, whereas metal is just metal.
It's just metal. Exactly.
Well, if you weren't quite sure of this girl's value.
Well, maybe I'll just bring you in one. I'll have a look for, I think I had the clear one somewhere. I don't know what you're talking about. Anyway, that's all the time we have today.
