US-headquartered data centre company Serverfarm, a subsidiary of Serverfarm, LLC, has recently appointed a new vice president of colocation to lead the business in Europe. The role has been secured by former CEO of Datacenter.com, Jochem Steman who has been tasked with leading the company’s colocation services across some of most critical data centre markets in Europe, including Amsterdam, where Serverfarm owns and operates facilities. Serverfarm said it has developed this position in response to the growing need for colocation spurred by the pandemic. According to a recent report, the European colocation market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 13% from 2021 to 2028. With over 50 data centre facilities under management in North America and Europe, Serverfarm is conducting one of the largest expansion roadmaps in the industry today.
