Sharon Malone joins us again to discuss a variety of topics regarding women's health after injury. The topics we address today are applicable to all persons with mobility issues. We'll start off talking about women's annual appointments and those dreaded OB-GYN stirrups, advocating patient care independently, and breaking through provider's assumptions. Body image can be a difficult challenge for many, and Sharon will discuss how she has managed to find her confidence again. From there we transition to a more taboo subject, intimacy after injury. This conversation is meant for mature audiences, please note this portion of the episode discusses sex and intimacy after injury and/or persons with mobility limitations.
