YOU WANNA DO WHAT?!: Personal Brand, Public Speaking, Thought Leadership for Career Professionals and Founders
I Wanna Work, Train, Fight
10 Jan 2018
Do you remember what you were doing at 25? My guest celebrated this milestone birthday opening the boutique boxing gym, WORK TRAIN FIGHT (WTF) in New York City. Now, 8 years later, I had the pleasure of interviewing founder and owner, Alberto Ortiz. We discuss how a kid from the Bronx swung for the fences long after his baseball aspirations were sidetracked by an injury, why he became an entrepreneur, how he tapped into his network to find investors make his dream of opening a gym a reality, what his family said when he swapped out a lucrative career in fitness for entrepreneurship, the 3 essentials that differentiate his gym from competitors and MORE. We also celebrate WTF's Youth Boxing for Change, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to empowering young people from under-resourced communities through boxing, mentorship and community service. --------------- Visit WORK TRAIN FIGHT next time you're in NYC! Support Youth Boxing for Change with your generous donations, mentorship and more! ---------------- Let's Connect! Have a question? Want to recommend a topic or guest?
