Chapter 1: What fitness goals are the hosts currently pursuing?
This show is part of the Headstuff Podcast Network. Okay, a lot of news. A lot of news.
Who knew?
I was going to be so excited. You were on the way from the gym. When you texted this morning, I didn't mind. I was going to do a joke of, sorry guys, missed that one because I was just working out in the gym. But then I didn't. You've opened up the podcast with the exact same style of joke. We're in sync. Yeah, we're in sync. And we could be in sync. Wow. Which one was it going to be?
I went to Dirty Pop. Either way, it was too long of a delay for both of us. It was, yeah. And Gillian probably doesn't know who NSYNC are. No, no, I do, but I wouldn't be able to sing any of their songs. I think I know that one. Did they do that? Orgasm, you just did?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
JT was beatboxing for a while.
He was, wasn't he? Yes, yes. It's very cringy. I think he was black then. He was black for a time. There was a real trend of going black back in the day. There was a trend of going black. Gwen Stefani was black and then she was Japanese. That's the way it was in those days. Yeah, you could do anything you liked. And now she's an uber Catholic and charging people to pray together. Oh, really?
Yeah, she's on, like, Stay Prayed Up with Mark Wahlberg. I was a big fan of Gwen Stefani. You cannot charge people to pray. No. That's part of the whole thing, I'm saying. I'm so Protestant of you. Salvation by faith alone. You can charge people. I maintain this. In a lot of ways, the Protestants are right. Now, I've absconded. I'm not in any of them. But the Protestants are right.
People were selling indulgences, Cillian! You can't be selling indulgences! Why don't you go and nail something to a door? Yeah, I've got a couple bulls I can fucking nail. I'm going to go down to Whelan's and I'm going to hammer my 95 thesis upon there and you'll all see. And then of course, because there is the printing press has been invented, word will spread. The good and bad medium.

Chapter 2: How does the gym environment influence motivation?
Let me just get your trousers. And their hearts are probably beating so loud because you were probably so loud at first being like, stop that! And they're like, what the fuck was that? And their hearts are beating. So do you get away from the children? Do what? Do what? Their adrenaline shot up. They're outside the kids. Yeah, there's the kids there.
There's kids that could be somewhat dangerous at school. Even the guards' hands are shaking. He might do something crazy. Has there been an accident? You get tasered. Do the guards have a taser? No, I don't think so. I went to the gym. I just said I went to the gym. Guard, your guard ship. Where did you get a taser?
And then also they could have heard it quite clearly and just didn't think it was funny at all. That's true as well. And it could have also worked out that like maybe that man was talking to that guard. That guard is like a special liaison guard for people who have had specific type of assault.
And he was just checking in and he prefers to do it on the street rather than in the station because that gives him PTSD. So maybe they could have been having that conversation and then you said that. Yeah. No, you've taken the wind out of it. I'm trying to reassure you that it's okay that you didn't do it. The intention, Cillian, the intention came from a very good place.
I think I'm going to do that at some stage over the next couple of weeks, give it a go. If I see someone talking to a guard, that's obviously not a situation where someone's being arrested.
If it's actually someone being arrested, I will take out my phone and say, leave that man alone or that woman. I'm going to take my jumper off. Shame. You could say shame. Shame. Shame. So you see someone, they're being manhandled by the guards, being thrown into the back of a van. They have blood all over them. They're holding two machetes. And you're like, hey, hey, leave him alone.
Or I'll be like, I did it.
Very clever. It was me. Leave that person alone. It was I. And they're like, sorry? They both stop. Sorry? Sorry, I said I did it. Did what? Let me get his trousers. Let me just get your trousers. Let me get his trousers guard. Influencer in jockeying murderer Rampage. Cillian Sunderman is a jockeying serial. South Dublin TikToker. Cillian Sunderman. Who took the internet by storm.
Stars of COVID. Now turned to harassing people on the street. To vigilante jockeyer. Okay, I'm taking my jumper off.

Chapter 3: What humorous anecdotes do the hosts share about their gym experiences?
So I asked this guy a lot of questions and he answered them and remained silent. And I was like, okay. Silence is very strong. Wasn't prepared for this. I always say that people who listen to this podcast know I say silence is very powerful. Silence is a very powerful tool.
He knew all the answers about exactly when the kids' classes would be on, making it feasible that we could both go to the gym while the kids could be entertained, which is a very rare thing. Actually, gym while the kids would be entertained. knew all these details. And then he said, look, don't mind that joint fee. I'll do it. I'll do it for 200 total. For the two of you. For the two of us.
Now it would have been 1250. And I'm like, I've seen on Reddit. I've seen on Reddit that in this particular gym, if you say, no, I'm not going to pay the joint fee, then it's fine. So we figured everything else out. And then we were both quiet. We were both quiet for like about a minute. Yeah. And he's like, so what do you think? Literally silence. Literal silence.
But he was winning because he was staring at me and I was looking at my phone and I was kind of like, He was winning you. I have many more questions here. And your heart was... And then I was like, well, actually, hang on, because this gym is actually a bit out of the way. We're big swing. After I've said everything sounds great. This gym is actually a bit out of the way.
I'm probably going to want to have access to all of the gyms in your chain. And he was like, well, that's going to be 150 for you. And I'm like, okay. And then he's like, you know what? I'll do it for standard for the two of you. And I was like... All right, you have a deal. But it felt like a really good deal. He made me feel like I had a really good deal.
Because he gave me a menu with really big numbers on it, and the numbers that we ended up agreeing on, very different numbers, small numbers.
Yeah, but you told me one time when I talked to some guy on the phone, when I was really happy about myself walking away from it, that I was a sucker. If I walked away feeling happy, then I was a sucker.
Yeah, that's true. Do you think, maybe? You need to walk away comfortable that you've gotten the best price, but kind of... With a bit of self-loathing for how you went about getting it. You know, like that's kind of how the... That's the sweet spot of knowing you've got a good deal.
You're sitting in silence. He's staring at you. Staring at me. You're staring at your phone playing Angry Birds.

Chapter 4: How do the hosts feel about the concept of vigilantism?
As long as I get my eggs, it's a similar vibe, but like, yeah, briny and shiny instead of shiny and bright. I like mine with some eggs. It's still good. Still singing. As long as I get my eggs. So, yeah, it's a weird one. I have to get on my knees. So I get on my knees. Sam shouldn't be asking you to do that. And then... Sam. In front of everyone.
And then I... Jack Sam. And then I put my hands to the side of the nearest person's trousers and I...
And then when they turn around at eye height, they can't see you. Who did that? Who did that? Safely on his knees, protected from discovery. He took me to do weird things. So it's like, so there'll be someone standing in the gym, like I have to crouch behind them and then Sam will push them and then that way they'll fall over. Oh, that's funny. It's like all this kind of stuff.
Well, you have to brace your core. I have to brace my core. While you're down there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's very good. No, it's like I have to get on my knees and then I hold this kind of like cable thing.
And then... I don't know what it's called, but a cable thing where you have a downwards pulling motion.
And so I hold on to two of them and then I bend down and it's almost like I'm praying or I'm hunching into a small little ball. And then I kind of just sort of... It's a lat pulldown, I believe. Pray like this.
Maybe it's called a lat pulldown. I'm not sure. It feels like I'm trying to make myself as small as possible and like crouching and bowing down to some sort of supreme emperor. And I have to do it in the middle of the gym in front of everyone.
And as a Catholic, does that make you feel guilty?
it does yeah I think you have to get over all those things get over the thing of like don't worry about people looking at you no one's looking at you it is like you're in pennies and you're trying on clothes and no one your mother was right no one is looking at you yeah because they're all too busy thinking about themselves so I think any of the gym things I think you have to just go I don't care yeah well I don't care that particular one I looked at today and I was like yeah not doing that not doing that

Chapter 5: What are the implications of selling indulgences in modern society?
I think they do. Big handsome, like a big, not even handsome, not Brad Pitt handsome, Peter Claffey handsome. Yeah. I think that that's what they like.
They're one generation closer to when we were all farmers. Yes, yes, yes. Something to do with that. Yeah.
Now, he's a very traditionally handsome man, but I think that's why the Irish, when they become hunks, is kind of, it's because something a bit wrong with you. Something a bit off. Yeah, slightly crooked. Something off, but the rest is there. Yeah, but he could lift a whole hay bale. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Punch a cow. He would punch a cow. To save a child. to save a child. Go away from that.
But he'd be annoyed at the child after. Yeah, yeah. He would protect the child, save his life, and then say, get out of that fucking thing. And then he'd give out to the child. I fucking told you not to be inside in that. Yeah. But then he would go to the child later and be like, I may have flown off the handle a little bit there. I was scared because you were scared. I disagree, Tony. Really?
He would stay firm. That generation of people, I think the man would have to then say, Daddy's only trying to look after you. Who are we talking about at the moment?
I don't know. I think Peter Claffey. We're not Peter Claffey anymore.
We were kind of talking about Peter Claffey, then we were talking about men that our moms might fancy. I don't know. Yeah, and then withholding fathers. Where are you, Zap, with potentially beating up your dad? I still can't do it. Absolutely couldn't. One time I picked him up off the ground for a joke. That's insane.
From behind, I lifted him up off the ground and everyone thought that was... It was like, kind of like a Victorian time where someone did a spinning top or something. Everyone went, oh! Oh, what a delight. Everyone, yeah. They were like, look at this novelty. The little boy who could pick up his father. Well, I was probably like 19, but anyway. Come round, come round.
When you look at me, you look at my strength and you assume I cannot pick up a man. You assume when they look at me, I cannot pick up a man. Roll up, roll up. Can the teenage boy pick up his father? Surely not. Throppens, throppens if he can. Throppens, he does it. Pick up the man and guess his weight. Come along, little girl. Yes, yes. And then like a spinning top and a jack in the box.

Chapter 6: What insights do the hosts offer on the history of social movements?
But in my head, what Tony described is actually what I was thinking. thinking this person on minimum wage wants... The same 17-year-old me was like, oh, I've got cash on me.
Like, I don't know what... It was kind of like, everyone else here doesn't... Honey. Honey.
You're there for like a whole hour holding the money in your two fingers like that. It's right here. Just holding, not even looking. All you gotta do... It's yellow. That means 50. Sweetie. When I bought my car, my dad came, obviously, such is the custom. And the guy, my dad tried to see if we could get money off the car. Such is the custom. And the man was just like, not interested at all.
He was just like, the man just came straight up and was like, look, that's how much it costs. If you don't want it, I'll sell it later on. And then my dad was like, well, and I was like, dad, leave it. He's not going to do it. I was like, grand, I'll pay. Thank you. I was like, there's no point. You know, when you just know, I was like, this guy's hard as nails.
It was like, there's nothing I can do here. He was like, look, if you don't want it, I'll sell it later. I don't care.
If I was your dad. And I believed him. I would have, I would have taken the guy aside.
Jocked him. I need to, I need to re-control. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I would have taken him aside and gone, listen, this is my son. I need him to respect me like I'm doing something. He's gay. He's one of my gay sons.
I have two.
It's terrible. It's a real... I have two of the other ones as well, the normal ones. Two normal ones. But it's a terrible shame. I have two gay ones. It's exactly situations like this that I think have turned them gay. If I don't... If I don't come out as a big man here, I'm worried another one will turn. So just like... If you could just please... I might lose the other one.

Chapter 7: How do the hosts discuss the impact of pop culture on personal identity?
I'd say performing when it's a boy band. I wouldn't say playing because they play nothing.
Well, they sing. Westlife can sing.
That was their whole thing. And does that mean that love is unbreakable? Well, no, Brian McFadden is not in the band. He's at Spark and Isis. Brian McFadden is not part of Westlife. Like, he was not part of the main Westlife. I mean, he was when they made their best songs. He was not part of the Westlife. He's not part of Westlife. Well.
Which of us is going to split off and try this solo thing?
And then is it going to be a Robbie Williams or is it going to be a Brian McFadden? In my pursuit, I mean, in terms of music, you know, I am going to be an R&B star winning a Choice Music Prize by 40.
Who said that to you again?
I said it.
Oh, okay. I thought like a soothsayer or something said it to you.
No, it was off the basis of when I was asking you which of your dreams have died as you've gotten older. I've birthed new ones in my old age. And you're going to be an R&B singer. I could see that. Oh, yeah. I forgot that. I could see that happening. Did you tell us that on the pod or was that in real life? I might have been behind the paywall. Yeah.

Chapter 8: What reflections do the hosts have on their personal growth and aspirations?
And they were like, but you're not. You're coming in late and you're not reliable and don't do the things you're going to say. And it's kind of causing a bit of an issue. And as I was leaving, after being fired, the CEO said, didn't know I'd just been fired. Tony, would you mind grabbing a few coffees there for the meeting? And I was like, okay. And I went and got all the coffees.
And then I came back into the office and everyone was looking at me like, what the fuck? And I was like, giving everyone coffees. And then I just kind of stood there for a while. And then I left. But this is how bad I was at the job I was tasked with. Leave! How do you answer to the CEO guy? Oh no, I don't work here anymore. What are you doing? You're here? They just fired me.
They just actually just fired me. You should have become his lackey. You should have got in close with him. That would have been your way to the top. Did you, Tony, do you feel like you learned from this?
Because I would think like, if you had someone who's on an internship, as older generations would say, and we'd say internship, but if you had somebody on internship, would you, I would say, well, you have to let him go. That's part of the learning of his internship is that he has to be let go because he's not reliable and that people expect professionalism.
And, but then did you learn anything from that? No. At that time? No. I walked out of there and I was just like, fucking dickheads. What the hell could they fucking... And I remember having this thought. This is genuinely my villain origin story. I said, because I wanted to be on it because it was like, oh my God, it's kind of like TV and I'd love to be on TV.
I don't know in what capacity or whatever, you know, and I was like, I'm going to be a fucking star. I walked out of there and I'm like, I'm going to be on fucking TV. And I'm going to fuck it. I'm going to be on my own show. And I'm going to be fucking huge. And they're going to see me and be like, isn't that the guy we fucking fired? And, you know.
And what happened to that TV station?
Oh, I got from the shutdown.
And have you ever been on TV?
