He was on a meditation retreat when he had the most profound meditation experience. It was like some kind of teleportation virtual reality, where he saw what his future would look like if he accepted this calling. So he walked away from his business to take the opportunity and never looked back.   Dan is a great example of someone who kept ignoring this calling because of a scarcity mindset. The unknown truly terrified him.
