October 17-23rd, 2021 is National Veterinary Technician Week. This week, we take the time to recognize the hard work our veterinary technicians do every day to improve the lives of people and animals they encounter and celebrate their skills and contributions to the success of the entire veterinary healthcare team. Veterinary technicians are responsible for communicating with pet owners, obtaining blood, running anesthesia in surgery, nursing sick pets in the hospital, preparing and administering medications, and so much more. This episode highlights the training veterinary technicians receive, their wide range of professional roles, and the gratitude we feel for all the hard work they do.
