Die Kunst, in der kurzen Zeit von 1905 bis 1914 maßgeblich in Deutschland mit den Künstlergruppen "Die Brücke" und "Der blaue Reiter" entstand, war ein Brandbeschleuniger der Moderne, der auch heute noch aktuell ist und seine Spuren tief in die Ästhetik und Bildsprache der Gegenwart eingegraben hat.
