Fonterra to sell 17B global business | Ep 20

Multiple international dairy companies, including Meiji, Lactalis, and Saputo, along with a US private equity firm, Warburg Pincus, are reportedly considering bids for Fonterra's consumer businesses. Fonterra is exploring selling its consumer-facing operations and specific regional business units to focus on high-value dairy ingredients. The potential sale could generate approximately NZ $4 billion, with a final decision on a buyer or an initial public offering (IPO) expected by mid-2025 after consulting with farmer shareholders.
