Ep. 132 John Dixon 2nd Commando Regiment Australian Special Forces

On today's Zero Limits Podcast I have a chat with John Dixon former infantry and 2nd Commando Regiment operator.John spent just shy of 17years in the Australian Army .During his postings at 1RAR and 6RAR he deployed to East Timor which gave him an introduction to military active deployments. After successfully completing SF selection and Commando training reinforcement cycle he was posted to Bravo Company 4RAR aka 2CDO. He soon deployed as an special forces operator to Afghanistan on a SOTG (Special Operations Task Group) on his first combat deployment. This led to further highly kinetic operations to Afghanistan both part of assault teams and sniper. We talk extensively about fighting the Taliban including being behind the trigger on multiple occasions from 2m out to 860m on the sniper rifle not to mention the filthy tactics the enemy used in country.
