On today’s Zero Limits Podcast I am joined for a chat with Mitch Ashworth NSW Police K9 Unit Handler. Mitch is a 16 year veteran of NSW starting in Goulburn as 20yr old in 2006 and finishing in 2007 in biggest ever NSW Police intake. Spending 10 years as a K9 handler in the Police K9 Unit. During training Mitch was paired up with police dog “Kane”. Kane had multiple bites which also led to multiple arrests of offenders. Kane retired and Mitch ended up with another dog Yap. Mitch trained him up and worked him to getting a few good jobs and bites and trained in USAR as well. Mitch almost drowned on a job chasing an offender which ultimately led to his discharge with PTSD.Send us a text however note we cannot reply through these means.
