On today's Zero Limits Podcast I chat with Sam O’Neill 1RAR & 5RAR -  Managing Director of not for profit Never Alone Fight Together Limited (NAFT)Sam is a proud Indigenous Australian veteran of 8 years in the Army serving in the Royal Australian Infantry Corps. In 2006 Sam was posted to 1RAR in Townsville, where he deployed to Timor Leste. After severely injuring his shoulder whilst deployed Sam was sent home for a shoulder reconstruction. This would see him being posted to the Combat Training Centre (CTC) also based in Townsville. After 2 years at CTC Sam was posted to 5RAR in Darwin, where he deployed to Afghanistan as part of MTF-2, Combat Team Charlie.After discharging, Sam turned to alcohol and drugs to silence the ringing in my ears and forget dreams. Several years after discharge, and several trips to rehab, Sam now has a young and happy family, and resides in North Queensland Mackay where he started the not for profit organisation Never Alone Fight Together aka NAFT.Send us a text however note we cannot reply through these means.
