20 Mar 2022
This episode for those of you who could use a little inspiration.I talk to Dallas Curry who is a Jet’s Pizza Franchisee. His story is anything but traditional. At the age of 5 years old he knew with certainty that he wanted to be a Mortician. Yes, I said the right …a mortician. He set his path in life on doing just that. Later on he was being mentored by a funeral director and he realized that this was not the path for him and felt pulled towards entrepreneurship. After starting a few businesses with his brother, he had this dream and idea to create a holding company that bought businesses. And in a crazy story of twists, and turns, obstacles, the business broker selling the business he was looking at going out of business- he eventually managed to stumble to the finish line and acquire a Jet’s Pizza franchise. This is a story of vision, resilience, an unstoppable belief in himself. We discuss how he funded his business, how he negotiated the purchase of a resale franchise, almost got turned down for the lease, and what it’s been like being a franchisee. It just shows that if you truly put your mind to your goal, and commit- even the toughest of circumstances cannot stop you.
