櫻はもともと白い花だったのだろうか。 透明な水面に一滴の紅を垂らし、ゆっくりとまじわっていく。 その一瞬を表現したような、純粋で、妖艶で、微妙な色合い。 神秘的とさえ言えるその美しさの中に人々は、不安を抱くのかも知れない。 草木染めで櫻を使うとき、花が咲いたあとの枝を使うと布は茶色に染まる。 花が散ったあとでは、ますます茶が濃くなっていく。 デカダンスの美意識を思いながら 散文詩を読み終え、 櫻の栞を新しい頁の中に戻した。 花びらの紅が、白い頁に移るかも知れない。 （CV：桑木栄美里）
