復活した日本一ウマイとんかつ屋「吉平」が美味すぎたのでまた行った→ 泣いた。筆者が日本一ウマイとんかつ屋だと信じて疑わない「吉平」(東京都中央区築地4-7-5)。長らく休業していたが、築地にお店を移して営業再開。この事態に、多くのとんかつファンが歓喜したはず。カリスマ的存在といっても過言ではないおいしさだから。 肉質が良いのは言うまでもない。レジェンド級の豚肉・林SPFを使用。しかし、林SPFだけが「吉平」の魅力ではない。その肉質の良さにおんぶにだっこではない。とんかつ職人としての熟練の経験とセンスを強く感じるとんかつが味わえるのだ。
