Description
北海道遺産にも選定されているモール温泉は、泥炭を通して湧き出す世界的にも珍しい温泉です。独特の茶褐色のお湯が特徴で、「モール」とはドイツ語の「moor」、「泥炭」「亜炭」を意味しています。北海道の十勝川温泉がその代表地ですが、他に道東や道北、石狩平野などにも湧き出しています。ツルツルとした独特の感触があり、入浴後は肌がスベスベするなど｢天然の化粧水｣ともいわれ、別名「美人の湯」とも呼ばれています。今回は、温泉ソムリエ師範のさとう 努（トム）さんに「モール温泉」について伺います。
