今回のテーマは、平取町の 『二風谷』。北海道の日高地方にある平取町。日高山脈の最高峰 幌尻岳がそびえたち、一級河川 「沙流川」 が町内を流れています。その沙流川の中流域にある集落が「二風谷」。アイヌの人たちが数多く暮らし、野田サトルさんの漫画を実写化した映画 「ゴールデンカムイ」 の撮影も行われました。今週と来週は、平取町二風谷で暮らすアイヌ工芸家関根真紀さんに「二風谷」 について伺います。
