今回のテーマは、 『すずらん』。北海道を代表する花の一つ「すずらん」。 釣り鐘型の白く小さな花が、鈴なりになっている可憐な姿は、まさに、北国の花。1960年、市民投票によって「札幌の花」にも選ばれています。 スズランは、涼しい気候を好み、主に北海道や東北に自生しています。かつて、札幌でも自生するスズランを見ることができましたが、現在は、ほとんど、その姿を消してしまいました。今、私たちがフラワーショップなどで見ているのは、ヨーロッパ原産のドイツスズランです。今回は、長年、北海道内で緑や花づくりに携わり、スズランの在来種の保全活動にも関わっている有限会社 「緑花（りょっか）計画」 代表取締役 笠康三郎（りゅう・こうざぶろう）さんに、札幌市内に残る、貴重なスズランの群生地について伺います。
