今回のテーマは『ワカサギ』。体長およそ10センチ。シシャモやチカの仲間 「ワカサギ」。寒さの厳しい季節、氷の張った川や湖で行われるワカサギ釣りは、北国ならではの風物詩となっています。天ぷらやから揚げなどで、食卓に並ぶ機会も多いワカサギ。私たちにとって、大変身近な魚ですが、その生態にはまだわかっていない謎もあります。また「ワカサギ釣り」は、近年、冬のレジャーとして人気が高まり、観光資源としても注目されています。今回も、北海道立総合研究機構の佐々木典子さんに、「ワカサギ」について伺います。
