今回のテーマは、 『大通公園とさっぽろテレビ塔』。大通公園は、札幌の中心部にあって、美しい花壇や芝生、およそ90種 4.700本の樹木が立ち並ぶ、憩いの場。東西に延びるその長さは、1.5キロもあります。本格的に整備されてから100年以上の歴史を誇り、ライラックまつりやビアガーデン、雪まつりなど、四季を通してイベント会場としても親しまれています。また、さっぽろテレビ塔は、その大通公園の西1丁目にあって、高さは144ｍ。先月、国の登録有形文化財に認定され、2027年には、開業70周年を迎える、まさに札幌のランドマークタワー。今回は、都市計画やまちづくりが専門の北海商科大学教授 池ノ上真一さんに「大通公園とさっぽろテレビ塔」について伺います。
