江戸時代中期から近代にかけて、主に北海道と大阪を日本海まわりで往来した北前船。北前船が北海道にもたらしたものは、人々の生活と発展を支え、今の私たちに繋がっています。また、北海道から運ばれたものは日本各地の産業と結びつき、文化となって花開いています。今週も小樽商科大学客員研究員の高野宏康さんに、今も小樽に残る「北前船の記憶」を伺います。これまでと違う小樽の姿、そして北前船の船主（せんしゅ、ふなぬし）の姿も見えてきます。
