Description
縄文時代から続く、およそ2000年前、弥生文化が西日本から東北地方に広がります。一方、北海道に弥生文化は広がらず、縄文文化から続く、「続縄文文化」が発展します。当時、北海道に住む人々は、ほかの地域とも盛んに交流し、南の弥生文化や北のサハリン、そして大陸影響などの受けながら、本州とは違う、北海道らしい文化を形作っていたと言われています。前編では、北海道埋蔵文化財センターの鈴木信（まこと）さんに「続縄文の生活」について教えてもらいました。後編は、なぜ、北海道で弥生文化が広がらなかったのか、そして、続縄文文化の遺跡について伺います。
