「コタン」とは、アイヌ語で「集落」のこと。阿寒湖のほとり、温泉街の中に「阿寒湖アイヌコタン」はあります。民芸品を販売するお店や飲食店が軒を連ね、さらにアイヌ文化専用の屋内劇場などもあり、アイヌ民族の文化を感じることができます。この「阿寒湖アイヌコタン」を舞台に撮影された映画「アイヌモシリ」は、ニューヨークやメキシコの国際映画祭で主要な賞に輝き、高い評価を受けました。 先週に引き続き今週も、「アイヌモシリ」にも出演しているアイヌ文化演出家のデボさんこと、秋辺日出男さんにお話を伺います。
