Description
某夜，生物学家裴达教授的研究室，被不明歹徒彻底破坏，其后裴达教授更被杀害，其助手贝兴国成为疑犯被捕。裴达教授的妹妹、同时是贝兴国的女友裴珍妮，却坚信贝兴国是无辜的，希望大侦探小郭的帮助，但被婉拒，便求助于卫斯理，卫斯理问完案情后，便到杰克上校处，要求与在监狱中的贝兴国见面，结果反而被贝兴国赶了出来。
