首先“上百亿年”只是我们的时间，并非是光的时间，按照相对论，达到光速是没有时间的，因此光是没有时间的。其次，光跑了上百亿年的时间，就走了上百亿光年的距离，当然这“上百亿光年”也只是我们的量度，而非光的量度，光是没有距离的。对于光来说，上百亿年与1秒钟没有什么区别，上百亿光年与1米没有什么区别。因此光在宇宙中跑上百亿年（我们的时间）完全没有问题，这是对于光自身来说的。那对于我们又如何呢？
