1956年的时候,有两个来自中国的年轻人,一个叫杨振宁,一个叫李政道,他们发现在我们这个世界上,镜子里的物理学,应该跟真实世界里的物理学不一样。他们这个说法解决了困扰当时物理学界的一个谜,除了他们两个谁也没往这个角度想。然后过了不到一年,另一个中国人吴健雄女士做实验证明了他们的理论。杨李二人据此拿到了诺贝尔物理学奖。杨振宁和李政道的获奖发现是,“弱相互作用的宇称不守恒”。
