When you go to a restaurant and you sit down to eat and you have a waiter that serves you, you usually leave around 15-20% of the total bill. So if it’s a 100 dollar bill, you will, er check, you will leave around 15 to 20 dollars in tip. Now in taxi drivers, it’s a whole different story. Now you might give, you know 10%, it depends how far you go, if you only go for a little bit you’ll give…like if you go for a 10 dollar trip, you might give 5 dollars. You know, it just depends on how well the service is. And also, the important thing is you don’t have to tip if they don’t treat you well so if they treat you rudely or just poor service, you can reflect it in your tip, like I’ve left a 5% tip or a 1% tip to make a point if a server is really bad.
