鲁迅写的不是晚清的“鬼故事”，是我们每个人的“精神日记”。1924到1925年，鲁迅写下这些小说的时候，正处在自己的“彷徨期”：新文化运动的热潮退去，理想与现实的鸿沟越来越大，他看着身边的人——知识分子、底层百姓、反抗者、看客——一个个在困境里挣扎，于是把这些“彷徨者”的模样，一笔一笔刻进了书里。
