駐在妻になって母になって会話する量が格段に減った。いつしか私は言いたいことを言葉にすることができなくなっていた。本当は会話の量が問題だったのではなく、押し殺していた気持ちを口にしないようにしていたから、いざ言葉にしたくても正確に話すことができなかったんだ。それは駐在妻や母と言う立場のせいではなく、誰しもに起こる現象。自分を認めたくても認められない時、相手に伝えたくても伝わらない時、まずは押し殺している気持ちに気づいてほしい。
